Originally only one of the two kazoos worked. I was about to throw the one out but noticed that the film type material in the ring was different on it. It was tight whereas the other one's was stretched. So I just poked at it with my finger enough to stretch it and then it worked properly. It needs to be loosened in order to vibrate the voice.
