We have an 8yr old dachshund that would gobble his food so fast that he would choke himself and then have trouble breathing.  This dish stopped all of that.  Now he eats at a normal pace.  Chews his food slowly.  The matching water bowl was nice and holds enough for all day.We would definitely recommend this bowl to anyone with the same problem eaters.

I bought this for my 16 week old lab puppy.  He would gobble down his food and then get sick. The bowl has slowed down his eating and he hasn't been getting sick. The medium size bowl holds about one cup of his puppy food. Getting the water bowl as a bonus was great too!
