It's a great size, with a wide scraping surface. I had a hard time convincing my husband to use it in the correct (assuming from the photos) direction, and I ended up working with it to make the desired grooves. It does take some patience and care, but it does a wonderful job. I love that it's natural and safe. The handle is sturdy, so I'm not worried about breaking it when applying pressure. More instructions would be helpful, as some other reviewers have noted. Overall, I love the Grill Hog! First, it requires a little more patience and work at the beginning to get the grooves burned in from your grill. Second, you won't spend your time looking for stray metal pieces left over on the grill after scraping. The purchase is worth not worrying about those stray metal pieces. The product is good quality and feels good in hand. I used a sander to make the wood handle a bit more smooth when I first got it. It works well to remove the debris stuck to the grill surface from the last meal. Also, the big handle is great for getting a good grip and angle on scraping the grates. It took several times of scraping to get good grooves going because the wood is so thick which is why I only gave a 4 rating. It does give off a wonderful cedar aroma when scraping a hot grill.
