Even though I could put filter foam in it, it would either bob up and down or just get sucked down, even with a o ring or zip tie. So I ended up using a filter intake sponge on the top and also a larger one on the bottom to protect my shrimp and improve flow. The suction cups could use improvement, but that’s easily fixable with all the extra cups I have left from other things. Overall the fit and finish and the value for the money, is great. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a lily pipe set for their canister filter. No leakage, and installation was easy as sliding them into the 5/8or 17mm vinyl tubing I have.
