The bottom of the cover would be about a foot off the floor. Our piano, which was pretty much a perfect fit, is 45" tall. **Q: My piano is called a 'console' style. It is 60" wide. it is 12" deep at the top but the depth is 24" at the key level. Will this fit?** A: I'm not sure about the dimensions- but the cover is vry large and has a slit in the front (or back) and that makes it fit better! **Q: Does this provide protection from liquid spills and impact?** A: Not sure about safeguarding against spills. I never put any kind of liquids on the piano. Fabric is thin, you can see through it in the light. To me, it’s a little gawdy with the ruffles but it serves its purpose in keeping the piano dust free. I think it was worth the cost for my purpose. **Q: How is this with protecting from elements? I live in hot Arizona dry heat, and humid monsoons in summer. Outer wall by the window.** A: This is primarily a light dust cover. It's velvety and about the right size for a medium height upright.
