The author's depth of understanding, the seriousness of his vision and the poetry of his creations all come together on the page. The models in this book are NOT for novices: indeed I do not expect to be able to make the more complex and beautiful pieces at all, ever. But the simpler ones are not only achievable, they also teach important lessons in perception (how to interpret the instructions) and -- humility! I read the whole book through right away, but have returned to it often, with pleasure and appreciation.
