The connection at the bottom of the pad is as described by other reviews on the top side of the pad which makes it a little awkward but does not bother us at all. We aren’t super tall though so we don’t feel the cord with our feet like some other people. We’ve had our pad for about 2 months now and it has worked perfectly. Like the auto shut off and the preheat features. It’s not super thick so you don’t get a lot of extra padding from it but it seems to be a good quality pad and we really have enjoyed it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ We love it except for one minor nuisance *by R***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 8 October 2009* Always had electric blankets. A co-worker told us she loved her heated matress pad. We bought this one, which is one of the higher (but not the highest) end ones. Not only does it keep you warm and cozy, it is also a very comfortable matress pad. Furthermore it is designed to fit extra thick beds (18") deep at the corners. At least the King size one is. We were able to put it on our bed and still keep our previous matress pad on and our deep well sheets still fit on the bed. The only complaint I have is that the chords for the controls should be a little bit longer. If you have a large bed getting the control to a convenient location on one side of the bed is quite challenging. I think the only difference between this and the next higher up is that one can have the lower half (for the feet) and the upper half of the pad at different settings. I think the premium for this feature is about an extra $100. All we cared about was getting into a warm cozy bed for the upcoming winter. This product accomplishes that in an exemplary fashion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Answer to Problem *by D***Y on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 21 April 2010* Two people in a king-sized bed: one always cold, other one hardly ever. Having dual controls perfectly solves this issue! Without the pad, there was always a hassle over how many blankets to put on the bed: never enough for one, too many for the other. With the pad, the 'cold one' can heat it til it's 'just right' and the other can leave it off, or set it very low. Wonderful comfort for each.
