It should fold completely as in the picture, with an elastic cord holding it together as a folded unit. I actually returned mine. The wheelbase is too narrow, causing a lateral wobble when towing over any bumps or rough pavement. Also, any weight over 70 lbs or so causes excessive flexing of the structure....not stable with any substantial loading. The 150 lbs advertised is WAY optimistic - a bit deceptive, actually. **Q: Do the front wheels swivel like 360 luggage wheels?** A: Yes - as I remember, they do swivel. I eventually tossed the BlueJan do to frailty. Don't believe the 150 lb. claim - not nearly rugged enough for that kind of loading. I'd suggest no more than 60 lbs max. **Q: What are the dimensions of the platform** A: Don’t know.. It was a gift. **Q: How big are the wheels?** A: 4" I think... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ too small *by M***. on May 26, 2017* The cart is much smaller than it looks. There should be someone beside it for size perspective. Seems strong though, for it's small size. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Able to handle weight with no issues *by P***N on October 23, 2019* I needed this to cart around a small box of pachinko balls that weighs between 50 to 70 lbs and possibly my suitcase at the same time so I need something that can handle 100 lbs or more. I used a Samsonite cart for two trips, but it didn't hold up to the weight and blew the axles out. I needed something that could handle the weight but was still small enough to carry on a plane. The Blue Jan handled this with no problems and was very easy to push on public sidewalks in Japan (Which vary in materials) even in the cart mode. I had no issues with the handle trying to fold forward in cart mode when pushing and with the wheel set up I found you could steer it by just transferring the weight forward a bit. Also it had very little flex in the handle and base when using it as a hand truck.The handle assembly is of high quality and looks to be from a rollaboard so it allowed you to place it in three positions, which came in handy using it to lift the box up. And it latches firmly in the up position, almost a little too firmly but I'll take that vs. folding forward with a load. Also it was small enough I was able to carry it in my bag, and wasn't too heavy at about 4 lbs. Overall highly recommended if you are after a heavy duty unit that is still carry on-able ### ⭐ Flimsy *by T***A on May 22, 2022* The handle does not stay up.
