I far prefer the glass over metal. And they are easy to clean with the little washer that's included (although I rarely need to do more than just rinse off the ends with soap and water). The only problem is that when I take it out to restaurants or bars, I sometimes forget and leave it behind. :( That's definitely not the straw's fault, though.
