It was only $58 to me, so might be a bit more excited about it. So I've only used this a couple times so far, but I can say after formatting it a couple times(trying to find a good format for both mac/windows) going from ntfs-mac os x extended-fat-ntfs-exfat. It still runs very speedy, although much faster on my macbook air(2012 i7 model). On my sony laptop(F series) with a usb3.0 port it writes at around 50mbp/s not sure about the read but should be faster than that. And then on my macbook air from blackmagic disk speed tests, it writes at 175mbp/s and the same 175ish mbp/s for reads. Astonishing. Also after messing around with it for 3 hours, its still cool and very quiet just a whisper!
