I purchased a black usb-c to lightning cable for our iPhones because she didn't like the white one that I already had. :) There's no issues with car brand or model. If your car doesn't have the aux plug to your stereo, you can use your FM radio. That's a less desirable method but it will work, too. **Q: If i am using the car radio- do i have to then match up the screen fm to the same station?** A: I haven't used this feature but yes, I think that's the idea. You set the station on the unit and tune in on your radio. **Q: Can i add a external mic?** A: No, there is no mic jack. There is a hole that says "mic" but that is where the mic is located.
