Real AvidRAVD AVCARBAR15 Carbon Boss - AR15

This is such a well designed and compact tool! This multi-tool really does help you easily and thoroughly clean each area of your BCG. Construction of the tool feels solid and built to last, and the included carrying case is helpful for keeping in your range badge without scuffing the finish of your firearms. The instructions were helpful but could have gone into more detail on all the different uses or include a QR code that likes to an instructional video. I am thinking of giving this as a gift to a friend who just purchased his first AR.

I vacillated on purchasing this as the reviews were really good overall, but a few made me think it might not be worth it. In the end, I decided to purchase it and I'm glad I did. It is very well made and has everything you need to clean an AR-15's bolt and bolt carrier group. A few reviews mentioned issues with the brush (bristles falling out, etc.) but I have not seen that at all. Maybe those were defective, honestly.

I used this Carbon Boss tool to clean a few of my AR15s and it was fantastic!I really like having so many tools built into one. Every single tool on this is very useful, I really liked the carbon scrapers. Sure they don't get everything off, but using this as part of the cleaning process was a big help. It is also handy to take the range with you since it's got so many tools in one convenient package!I love all my Real Avid tools!

I like the tool, it works well for the most part. However, the first time I used the cotter pin puller, it sperated from the tool and I couldn't fix it. Again, I like the tool. It works well, just wish that part was better made.

I am an avid weapon shooter and a new AR-15 (FN-15) owner. I had to consult YouTube for instructions on how to use this devices every feature.NOTE: You do NOT need to use this to scratch at critical surfaces every shoot. It is very useful when those very difficult carbon buildups occur in crevices and corners! This thing is pretty nice. Every party works great for scraping carbon off your BCG. I will continue to use it and keep on my range bag.

It has what you need to clean your junk.

This tool is great. When I first looked at it I thought it might be entirely too much going on to use it fast. However once you get the hang of where everything is located you can move fast with it. It really only has 3 sides being a triangle and the center that you use for cleaning. Because some sides have so many purposes you can remove a lot of carbon and move between multiple builds quite quickly. My only complaint is the bolt tail carbon scraper on the side didn't get all the carbon off of my bolt tail on my pistol build. I have my pistol build gassed properly and it ejects at 4 o clock so it isn't getting unnecessary carbon fouling. Just likely the name of the game when using a shorter barrel. Otherwise it cleans up every part you'd expect and then some. One thing they don't make apparent on the packaging is the cotter pin puller is also the bolt face scraper. It works perfectly on there with the cotter pin puller even scraping under the extractor. I think every ar15 owner should have at least one of these whether it stays in a bug out bag or what.
