It's the only one that doesn't damage my hair. I like that the 3rd step is the moisturizer. I've bought several of these and will continue to buy. Review: straightened and smoothed hair, lessened frizz - For years I have had my hair straightened professionally. It would result in flat very straight hair but will still better than all the frizz. I have very fine white (natural) hair (previously blonde) and was concerned about damage. I followed the instructions from the woman who said her salon perm resulted in poodle curls. She used this perm to correct those results. Her results were positive. I left the perm mixture on for 8 minutes and combed through with a wide toothed comb. I followed the rest of the instructions on the inside of the perm box. I am very pleased with the results. The condition thus far is excellent and most of the wild frizz is gone. When I woke up I did not have wild hair sticking out all over. I did let it dry naturally for a while but decided to use my heated air brush to finish drying it. My hair quickly dried, still had some body and was easily controlled. I still had some tight curls at the top hairline but they were easy to straighten. Next time I may add 1 minute onto the processing part. I am very sensitive to smell and was able to tolerate it with a strong fan overhead. I color my hair and use it, but I use permanent color. **Q: My box came with no instructions- was it suppose to? It is easy .. roll perm they apply wait about 25 minutes .. u can test to see if u want to leave on a little longer but i would not exceed more than 45 u dontt want to burn yoyr hair...rinse off pat dry .. then apply neutralizer leave on for 5 minutes.. take rods out ..rinse then condition style as usual **Q: Does this have hydrogen peroxide in any of the lotions?** A: No as it didn't lighten my hair but it was rather harsh on it **Q: Is this an acid perm? Can I use it on bleached (highlighted hair)?** A: This is not an acid perm, and is made for highlighted hair. If your hair has a lot of bleach and highlights, Zotos Platinum is also good. Soft curls with lots of shine! *by P***Y on July 16, 2024* With previous home hair perms I’ve always gotten curls or waves, but my color became faded and my hair became fragile. Not with Zotos efx Texture Perm! My color stayed true and there is so much shine. I was looking for more body than actual curls and that is exactly what I got. I used only half of the waving lotion because my hair is mostly short and I did not want to overdo it. I detected no odor. I left it on for less than 10 minutes and used all of the Neutralizer as directed. When wet, my hair was quite curly, but I think the secret of success is in the leave-in splash solution used after perming is complete. I let my hair air dry and then styled it with my curling iron as usual. Beautiful body! Exceptional, soft feel!
