The grinder parts may eventually wear out, but for the price these are nice salt and pepper grinders. We like them. If you purchase them, you will get an email from the company asking you to contact them with any questions or concerns. They will tell you how to use and take care of them, and I thought the customer contact was a nice touch. They really wanted to make sure we were happy with our purchase. **Q: Can i use it for grinding sesame seeds or chia seeds?** A: I would think Yes - although I have not tried it. They are able to make a really fine grind so I think the seeds would work well for that.
