The ones we used to buy usually broke - sometimes when putting them on, and most often when we took them off. If they didn't break, they were unusable because they were stretched out double or triple the original size. Furthermore, they often got tangled and caught in my daughter's hair. In comparison, these rubber bands are extremely more durable! I can typically reuse them 1 more time as they do not expand as easily as the other ones I've bought. They come off easily too.
