I hacked my way through cutting the first 11 strands using 9 inch electrical side cutter pliers, but stopped by Lowes and picked up a set of bolt cutters today to finish the job. Cuts well and doesn't unravel.I drilled a couple small holes in the spool flange to thread the cable through so the cable wouldn't unravel ofrom the spool.I'm very handy, and this installation was, for me, a tedious install.Primarily the post prep on older, weathered posts. I over tightened the cables, which seems rather easy to do...
