Rosiland began her career as an illustrator of science and reading textbooks, and after designing and illustrating thirteen other children’s books, she moved into illustrating and designing for a diverse group of clients. Rosiland has a BA in Sociology and English, and learned airbrushing in Hollywood in 1978, where she survived an old-fashioned apprenticeship at an all male Movie Poster Art Studio in Hollywood's Crossroads of the World.
