It’s classy and elegant, comes in a nice case and not too childish or mature in its design, so I think it makes a great gift all by itself. I scoured stores and the web to find a simple bound journal like this with no pre-designed calendars or lists and also not a “bullet” journal; just simple lined pages to make whatever you would like of it!I bought it as a Christmas gift for my grandmother who has started having trouble remembering details of her days or events and it upsets her as she’s seeing old friends or their spouses suffering with Alzheimer’s and it quite frankly terrifies her. I remember her writing in a journal when I was young, so I thought this was perfect for her to sit down at the end of the day and write about what she did or even old memories that she would like to look back on. I paired this with some elegant pens (also bought on Amazon!) and this was a total hit!
