No more guessing with ptfe tape. Put abit of this on new offset shower adapters, and left for 1hr. All set and no leaks. Apparently you can run it with water within 5 minutes as it’s to do with the no air in the threads but I left longer incase. Great stuff. Won’t go back to traditional tape now. Review: Easy To Use Quick Drying. - I bought this to do the pipes on a shower I was replacing as PTFE tape is harder to use in smaller spaces. This is the first time I’ve used a liquid and it worked very well. On application to the threads of the nut it also acted as a lubricant making it a lot easier to screw on. I left it just a couple of minutes before putting the water back on and the seal was tight and leak proof. I could also see that it had dried as there was a tiny bit that came out the end of the nut but I just picked that off easily enough to keep it clean. I’ll definitely be using this in any other jobs around the house instead of tape.
