Review: Worth the couple of extra bucks! - The first earphone I bought for my crystal radio never worked reliably, and stopped working altogether in no time. After doing some research I found out that there are a couple of problems that are common with most crystal earpieces: 1.) the diaphragm needs to be brass (most are tin) 2.) the wiring inside the earpiece needs to be soldered in order to last (most are glued) This upgraded earphone addresses both of those issues, and buying them made more sense than buying a pack of diaphragms & trying to solder the wires on the other headphone myself, so I was very pleased to find them! The sound is great & the earphone has performed 100% reliably so far, and I expect they will last much longer than the first one I bought.
