Ur in the end just lifting rather than say bleaching to add a more vibrant cor to ur natural sometimes with box u would use bleach then apply for this purpose same type deal only it's the developer doing it much easier and kinder to ur hair in generally but u adjust the dev # up or down based on how much u need to bleach for a box dye example but here it's dev that's trying to lighten u so med brown I use 60 and it's not healthy for ur hair by no means just a bit better compared to bleach I think my hair feels diff not as fried to b extreme a bit oversggrrsted but u get the point hopefully. I was terrified to start mixing a bunch of crap it took years for me to trust myself with just box dyes I was super intimidated but that's it that's all it truly is plus they got all sorts of fun chick stuff in there u can get lost for days their app is pretty easy to use never ordered from it but Amazon too has developer never tried it but they have this same Q&Asection u could just ask away anyway when I reqd ut question it reminded me of how it was early days thot if that was u maybe this would help or others ;) **Q: I used light golden brown & it was toooo dark . can i go over it with golden blond ?** A: If hair is too light, you can dye it darker. If hair has been dyed too dark, you cannot simply slap a lighter color over it and hope it will lift the darker color. At most it will add a different more reddish tone but won't truly lift. If I dye hair too dark then the only solution a lot of the time is to (a) try to lift it out right after by washing with baking soda, dish detergent, etc. or (b) vitamin C wash. Some even do a bleach bath and then re-dye. It all depends on how damaged your hair is. If I had gotten my hair too dark with this permanent dye, I don't think I would then hope that a lighter color would lift it nor that it would lift it to the right SHADE. **Q: Which light blonde colorsilk ammonia free is the lightest blonde 3, 4 or 5?** A: I buy 04 Ultra light natural blonde. My black hair is incredibly hard to lighten, and my grey hair is incredibly hard to color. Fun, yeah? I previously used a box of the same dye and it was noticeable to me but not to everyone. This time, I used Malibu C Color Prepare Wellness Hair Remedy beforehand. When my hair dried, I added All HD Plex to the mixed dye before using it. I previously left it in for 30 minutes but this time I went for 45. I know it isn’t one of the colors that they say you can do that with, but again, stubborn dark hair, so I took a chance. I also used my heat cap. The color turned out kind of auburn. I know I do have a lot of red pigment in my hair—the orange stage during lightening goes on forever. There’s no noticeable damage, but I don’t know if that’s because of the All HD Plex or the lack of ammonia in this formula, but I can say that formulas with ammonia leave my hair noticeably hard and dry, even with the Plex. It passes though. But after Colorsilk, there’s no dryness, hardness, or any other issues. My hair always looks dry and frizzy immediately after washing, so damage isn’t what you’re seeing—just hair stripped of natural oils. I like the resulting color, and it’s the only boxed dye my hair seems to have no bad reaction to, so it’s a keeper. It did cover my greys better this time, although even they seem to be reddish.
