**Q: Would my kids be able to opened it easily**
A: Yes, in the picture it looks like 2 Rock pieces, when in fact it's just one half with a white piece of plastic insert holding the key. It's super simple to open.

**Q: Does anyone know how to keep the keys from rusting when outdoors in this rock (even in plastic)?**
A: My rock stays in garden key has never rusted.

**Q: What if someone thinks it's a real rock and throws it at my window?  Will it break?**
A: It is not a real rock; some sort of composite material.  They would have to throw it pretty hard to break a window with it, I would think.

**Q: How to open?**
A: The back side of the rock slides open. It was a little rough to slide open at first.

Excellent quality for safely hiding a spare emergency key. Looks and feels like a real rock. Blends in well with other rocks. No issues with opening the key tray. It is a tray that fits deep inside the "rock" keeping rain and snow out. Is NOT a slide cover. There is even a small plastic bag provided to ensure that the spare key stays dry. Nice touch that is greatly appreciated!
