As it says, do not spray on flowers, brick, wood... you spray it on leaves on plants around the area to be protected. It will wash off in the rain, but if you spray it on the bottom of the leaves it is still there after light rains. I use it on leaves around my deck every two weeks or so. It takes a couple of weeks to start but works great. Mosquitos go after the sugar and the garlic is eaten and kills them. I go through about 4 cans from spring to fall. I get no bites all summer, and I am outside all the time. The current seller is ripping people off and Amazon is letting them do it.
