We are a printing company and have been using it for our customers custom shirts and they have never complained about it. Cures great and we do a double press. First press to adhere and then second press to make sure it stays. It will be clumpy when you first open due to storage and settling, but all you need to do is break it up and you're good to go. I usually just use the top of one the empty ink bottles to break it up. You could definitely use a sifter. We put this stuff to the test too.
