eXtremeRate launched the REVIVTRO project in 2020, which aims to revive your retro game console with modern technology. IPS screen is now popular in recovery projects for Gameboy Advance SP. But most replacement cases for GBA SP on the market are not ready for installing IPS screens. eXtremeRate has redesigned the shape of the case, can be compatible with IPS and standard screens. And with a more precise shape and made of high quality ABS material, the quality of the eXtremeRate upgrade case is very good. Leave the handheld console for GBA SP out of your drawer and dress up a new look for your old friend! Please note before ordering: 1. The complete case is only compatible with the Gameboy Advance SP handheld game console. 2. The replacement shell is also compatible with the IPS backlit LCD display of the Game Boy Advance SP. But the IPS LCD display is not included. 3. It is a complete shell with buttons for Game Boy Advance SP. The console, screen and other parts are not included. 4. Nach 4–5 verschiedenen Gehäusen von anderen Herstellern kann ich ehrlich sagen: Die Hülle von eXtremeRate ist die erste, die qualitativ wirklich ans Original herankommt. Verarbeitung, Passform und Materialgefühl sind auf einem ganz anderen Level – hier klappert nichts, die Tasten sitzen sauber, und das Gehäuse wirkt stabil und hochwertig. Besonders positiv: Die Hülle ist direkt IPS-Ready, also ideal, wenn man seinen Game Boy Advance SP aufrüsten will. Auch optisch sieht alles richtig gut aus – das Schwarz ist matt, nicht billig glänzend, und die Buttons haben einen angenehmen Druckpunkt. Natürlich ist keine Konsole oder Platine dabei – das sollte klar sein – aber wer einen Shell-Swap plant oder einen GBA SP restaurieren will, ist mit diesem Set definitiv besser bedient als mit vielen günstigeren Alternativen. Für mich aktuell die beste Aftermarket-Hülle auf dem Markt. Absolute Empfehlung für alle Modding-Fans, die Wert auf Qualität legen.
