I can lay my foot flatter on the floor and the muscles in that leg are now activated and supporting my back the way they should (my right leg and foot were hosed up from the ruptured disc). Blood flow has improved and the numbness is gone on the right side of my foot. When you release the Trigger Points, the muscles can relax and lengthen which allows you to then exercise and strengthen them. I will always have to be careful with and work on, my back. It is not magically "healed". But hopefully it will continue to improve as time goes on. Most body work revolves around relaxing the Trigger Points but professionals do not share this information with us and unless you go see them every couple days, those Trigger Points will not always go away.
