I live in St. Louis, MO, at the confluence of three major rivers. The rain and subsequent flooding has been a bear lately. I was planning a trip away from home for three weeks and I was terrified to come home discover the sump pump failed, the power went out at some point, or a combination of the two.This pump set is a solution for both issues. First, it's a high quality main pump, better than my ten year old Wayne, and build like a tank. Second, the 12v backup pump is also high quality, and has a wonderful trigger system. Third, I hooked the 12v charger up to a solar panel and now, I will have power rain, shine, power outage or not. Fourth, all the valves, elbows and "one ways" were installed and ready to go. This was truly a drop in system. It is VERY quiet and powerful....it empties the sump basin in a blink of an eye.Obviously time will tell if it holds up, but they do give you a 3 year warranty.
