I prepped the area and stuck them on. Looked good until I came in to check on them and all had come unstuck around each corner. Unless you touch it you never gonna know. I did read other reviews prior to purchase which were helpful. We have faux wood beams and wanted something to hide gap between wall and other beams. I used a blow dryer to heat and make strip more plyable to fit U shape of the beam. Then added a small amount of liquid nails to glue side. Used pins to hold in place while drying then added the dots over pin holes.
