Don’t know if bpa-free. Not noisy makes some noise when last of water goes through then you know it is done. 10 inches tall. **Q: How do you clean the permanent filter?** A: Soap and water will clean the filter. Keep in mind that the coffee basket is micro too so traditional coffee filters won’t fit . They’re too big . The basket comes with a reusable filter . Coffee tastes good to me. So if you’re looking for a simple coffee maker ,this one is recommended.
