It is super-bright and excellent for detail work. It makes a very loud clacking sound when you adjust the height and angle that I could do without.HOWEVER, I found the weirdest bug ever. I had it plugged into my computer (I leave it plugged in unless I'm using it elsewhere). It was turned on and I had to reboot my computer. And now it's dead. Kaput. Blown out. Somehow, something about it being connected to the USB power supply during a reboot just killed some mechanism inside of it and it won't light up.
