They're not squared off or neat at all. The bars are broken apart at one end and randomly "dipped" in oatmeal - which I cut off because I do not want loose oats plugging up my plumbing. The bars are unevenly soft and hard in places. The scent is okay. It's not overpowering but only almond. I cannot sense any vanilla at all.Been to plenty of farmers markets and fairs where people are selling handmade soap that looks and feels better that's not costing $7-10 a bar. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Color *by G***A on Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2016* I have sensitive skin and this soap cleaned beautifully. It left no residue but didn't try out my skin either. This is a very neutral soap. The aroma is mild and should not bother anyone sensitive to strong, perfume smells. It does not smell like fake fragrances you find in air fresheners but has the standard, homemade soap odor the color is a deep purple/red as pictured but the suds are plain clear/white. None of the color comes off on the wash cloth, sponge, or your skin. The bars were a little smaller than I expected although the measurements and the listing turned out to be accurate once I checked. This is not a hard mill soap so make sure to let it drain and dry if you want to make it last. It has a fresh, invigorating scent of orange and clove. I started using it when I found myself feeling sick and it helped bring my health back. Plus I smelled fresh and spicy all day which is a huge plus. This soap comes in a two pack, lasts quite a while and does not melt super fast / easily so it lasts longer.
