So, if you actually draw 400W you may be out of luck.. but regardless, I had an issue with an Apple laptop PS that was marked 140W, and it kept overloading/kicking out the little ole 150'watter i had from back in the day. it did the same to the vehicles built in 110V outlet - i dont know what its limit is but probably the same. With this 400W unit it now works fine, and so far it has not blown any fuses in the 2 cars i tested it. The company gives you 5 year warranty if you register and do this review - so i assume the products are built to last. It does have a loud fan in it, but if you know something about inverters and low voltage, that is to be expected. The cord is a bit short, like a foot and a half - but for most locations that is enough to let the unit rest in some cubby/whole while plugged in. Review: It performed exactly as I expected!
