I ordered this one from desertcart because I already had another one from another store about 5 years ago. It is quiet; takes up very little space, and has several modes. Not only does it rotate because it's an oscillating fan, it has a timer where it can be set anywhere from 1 to 8 hours and then shut off, and most importantly, I love that it has a remote which can be easily stored in the back of the fan for cool or cold days when it's not in use. Just remember to remove the batteries when not in use for better battery life. Now that I have two, I keep one in my dining room downstairs in my home and one upstairs in my master bedroom. I do have central air, but I don't want to keep my central air running all day when I'm not around or in another part of my home. I also do not sleep with my central air on so this fan is perfect though I have ceiling fans but they can be a tad noisy. I keep this one next to my bad and it oscillates throughout the night and keeps me very cool and it is very quiet. When you order it from desertcart, you do have to put it together yourself but it's an easy fix. Just slip the top into the bottom, click and go. I just love it. I'm going to get another one for my guest bedroom. No need in spending a fortune on central air if it's not necessary. I think this one is well priced and it will last a long time because my first one is about 5 years old and still running smoothly. Did I mention how quiet it is? I love the quietness. I love this Honeywell fan. I ordered this one from Amazon because I already had another one from another store about 5 years ago. It is quiet; takes up very little space, and has several modes. Not only does it rotate because it's an oscillating fan, it has a timer where it can be set anywhere from 1 to 8 hours and then shut off, and most importantly, I love that it has a remote which can be easily stored in the back of the fan for cool or cold days when it's not in use. Excellent fan, VERY quiet at lower speeds, moves a lot of air when greater cooling is needed, and BONUS! a remote control! My only wish: adding some sort of optional hooks that can be clipped into slots on the side as cord storage the way upright vacuum cleaners store cords. Or, some sort of storage within the base of the fan. That is the ONLY downside I have found for this fan! I also appreciate optionally having the speed indicator stay on all the time on the model I selected. Small space taken where it stands. One hand light weight.
