Review: Not what it's cracked up to be - First, this stuff does nothing to prevent blossom end rot. Folks tell ya that blossom end rot is caused by lack of calcium, and while that's true, if you aren't watering your plants enough, they aren't getting the calcium. Odds are your soil has plenty but your plants aren't getting enough water to uptake the calcium. No amount of fertilizer or amendments is going to change that. I see people growing tomatoes in fabric grow bags, I grow some that way myself. However, you are not going to be able to follow the "expert" advice of giving a certain amount of water per week. Those bags dry out so quickly, you could very well end up watering several times a day with the amount of water you are told you need for an entire week. The plastic type grow bags will hold water better, but you'll still have to water more often than in-ground planting. If your soil is truly calcium deficient, buy a bag of gypsum and use that instead. Way cheaper and works amazing without altering the pH of your soil. But, if you need to make your soil more basic (alkaline) add some garden lime instead of gypsum. I purchased the pack with 2 containers last year for $45 just to do some experimenting. I knew better. I work too hard to waste money like that, but just to prove a point, I did it. My garden actually improved AFTER this stuff ran out and I went back to my old standby. I don't know who "Jack" is, but he's laughing all the way to the bank. I just want to see people who want to grow some of their food, be successful. This company is only successful in robbing you of your hard earned money. The only way this product is going to help you, is if you have extremely poor soil. In that case, pretty much any fertilizer will do the same thing. When you need your plants to grow and get greener, add more nitrogen. When you need them to start blooming and producing bigger fruit, add more phosphorus and potassium. You should buy your fertilizer based on the N-P-K value, according to what your plants need at the time. Even a basic "triple" fertilizer is better than this stuff for regular use. My suggestion, use a triple 10 or triple 13 at the beginning of the season, then change things up a little as the growing season progresses, depending on what your plants need. That's what Granny and Papaw did - how's your garden compared to the one they had? I love flowers too, but it seems to me that too many folks are trying to "fix" their vegetable garden much like they would with non-native plants and flowers. I understand it takes a bit of work to get that orchid to grow and bloom properly. Just feed your vegetable garden, whether you're into organic or commercial fertilizers, with what they need at any given time and they'll be happy. Just remember though, organic fertilizers take time to break down in order for your plants to be able to use them. When someone tells you that they added an organic fertilizer and, miraculously, their garden was healed of all plights the next day.... either they have pretty special microbes in their garden, or... they just needed a little water. Which of course, they added with the miracle fertilizer 😉 I hope each and every one of you trying to grow food, is beyond successful. But may I humbly suggest, that you just look at your plants, learn what N-P-K as well as some micronutrients are for, and adjust your feeding based on what you're seeing. Stop making Jack a rich boy, while your belly suffers because his "miracle" wasn't what your garden needed. Feed your belly, not his bank account...
Review: Best Tomato Crop - This is the first year I have used this product, and I am impressed with not only how well my tomatoes are growing, but also my zuchinni is producing earlier and more abundantly than ever before. Great results when using it according to directions, every 2 weeks.
