Keeping feet healthy for diabetics is essential, this isn't news to anyone who has diabetes or is suffering through my review, however it's nice to have something available that's affordable and works well.The two key ingredients are:Urea - Urea has a long and colorful past dating back to the 17th century. Although it was long made from human and animal urine it's a relief to know it's now synthesized and created in a lab. In fact Urea was the very first natural compound to be synthesized. Urea which is rich in nitrogen has an extremely wide range of uses from fertilizer to treating stage 3 renal failure.For topical applications Urea slowly breaks down tough skin cells softening the skin over time which makes it ideal for diabetic foot care.L-Arginine - is an amino acid and it's pretty much a wonder treatment. Used in a mind boggling array of treatments from post organ transplant recovery, certain cancers (especially breast cancer) to migraine headaches.The properties that make L-Aginine so unique and varied are many but it's ability to draw blood to specific areas has proven particularly beneficial to diabetics. Although a controlled substance this cream has the highest percentage ( 10% ) you can buy without a prescription.As for the cream itself, it's not runny and has the right amount of viscosity to it. I was quite worried about them...you know it's important that we diabetics take good care of our feet. I was so embarrassed by their condition. He hated it if I would ask him to give me a foot rub, and I don't blame him. They were so scratchy, so rough, I couldn't even wear hosiery because my heels would tear them to shreds. I was sooooo tired of filing them too. they would develop deep cracks that made it very painful to walk too. My daughter that works as a pharmacy tech asked if I'd heard of this cream called Diabeti-Derm, which I had not. I got on Amazon and found it, ordered it, started using it once a day for 3 weeks, and you would not believe the difference. I don't know how to send a picture in, but you would have to see it to believe it. My search is finally over!!! I cannot say enough....TRY, TRY, TRY it...you won't regret it!! I promise you!! I soaked my feet every night in warm soapy water, then rinsed and patted dry and allowed them to air dry for maybe 5 more minutes then applied the cream generously and put on some cotton socks and went to bed. I noticed a difference after using it for only one week.
