She absolutely loves it. Only complaint is that if the person taking pictures isn't holding still enough, the pictures aren't very clear. You do have to go into settings to up the Mega Pixel quality, but that was super easy to do, and it stays on the higher quality unless you manually turn it down. With some practice, she'll be taking awesome photos in no time. Based on that, I took this to a wedding along with my regular older digital camera. The photos with this camera were pretty good for the price of the camera. This would be great for kids or as a backup for casual events. I took mostly outdoor daylight photos and they came out well. The indoor flash ones were OK, but NOT great. The only real negative was the length of the battery life. I wish it could have been longer. The setup was pretty intuitive and the controls and functions were also. I was able to access the setup menu easily and scroll through the functions with minimal use of the manual. I did NOT use the camera for videos, as I do NOT plan on using it for that. The battery comes out easily, and it would be great if extra batteries could be purchased. I plan on taking this as a backup camera when we travel to Australia later this year. This camera was described as for kids, seniors, etc. IT IS A VERY DECENT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE. It never claimed to be anything but.
