I have been using one for the past 3 plus years off and on, and it works great. the material is not all that tough but it survived some good winds and stayed put.putting in on the outside of the windshield keep the heat out of the interior a lot better that on the inside.. why?? when the sun contacts the glass it heats up. the heat comes in the interior. the shield just protects the dash and other objects from getting hot as well.. on the outside of the window the sun does not heat up the glass in the first place so the interior temp stays cooler,, especially if you have the "vent shades" on the window to allow them to be cracked, 2-3" or so to allow the heat to escape the interior.. (that alone will keep the interior cooler with or without the shield in place..) the combo of both is the best..I have not had mine messed with at anytime in a parking lot..Too bad they are out of stock with no return date from amazon.. they are the best for sure.. could they be better YES.. a bit wider adn taller for large truck windshields adn stronger material would be the deal. ### ⭐⭐ Large, but not large enough for minivans! *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2018* This would work fine...if it fit. If you own a Toyota Sienna like we do, or any other minivan with a large windshield, don’t waste your time with this product. We searched for a sun shade of the right dimensions and all we could find that came close was this product. Every time you go to put it in place, it slides around. One side will fall off the sun visor because it’s simply too small for large windshields. If it fit correctly, the spring frame around the circular sections would be snug to the top and bottom of the windshield, not this product. As a sun shade, the material is good: it does the job. Really wish it fit. But don’t do what we did and hope that it will work because it doesn’t...and I’m irritated every time I have to use it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Work as promised but not the simple solution I was looking for *by R***D on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2018* They cling and block the sun. They also store away easily when you don’t need them. Perhaps too well as I can’t see past them when applied to the windows. In the photos, it looks like you can see through them better than you can. Now if you only want them to block the sun entirely, these will help. The cling side does collect dust, sand, and other small debri rather easily, so keep this one on your window after you clean the windows. That will help keep these guys clean and will prolong your clinging potential. Otherwise, they get dirty and don’t stick as well any longer. They also weren’t the easy solution I was looking for. It’s kind of a pain to take these off, store them somewhere in the car, and then install them almost every day. They are good for commuting or road trips though. My daughter requested them daily during our last road trip.
