Review: Whole-House Audio - I used these to replace the hardwire I put in the crawl-space of my house years ago. It's not quite as dependable as the hardwires; example, in the kitchen, if I stand in one place I block the reflected signal that's supposed to bounce off my cabinets to the unit in there. Similar stuff in the garage and elsewhere. But, it's not susceptible to 60Hz buzz. Seemed like about every year or two I had to chase down a buzz on my hardwired system. I'd far rather one room blank out occasionally when I walk by than to have that darned constant buzz!!!
