Strong side rain caused very little leaks that are minor in general but apparent. But, the 58 mph winds sideways and gusts up to 65 mph didn’t phase the stability of this gazebo. Very strong structure **Q: Can this product be used on a deck and will it still be ableb to be secured in heavy winds?** A: Yes! But be advised of the wind gusts speeds on your deck! If past 35mph, you might get some shaking and the hollow legs may buckle. Mine did on the 12 x 16 w/ 4 legs and in came down. Luckily it stayed on the deck on top of the garage. Am going to get the 12 x 20 w/ 6 legs, but will insert a 4x4x7 cut in triangular half, and secure them and the legs to the deck. Take that Windy City! **Q: could you substitute a skylight or a polycarbonate clear section for one of the roof sections?** A: I do not believe so. The panels are grooved so it all fits togeather with the grooves. You could possibly see if the manufacturer makes it like that. **Q: Can you take Gutters off or modify them,their drainage holes are only 1/4 " they dont drain and plug up,all middle points leaks.** A: Yours are complaints I have as well. I took off the gutter end caps to clean out the trough, but we have lots of trees around, and it is an endless task.
