I wanted to upgrade to a beard-oriented product to keep the softness and help tame fly-aways (and avoid my g/f's ire), so I decided to try this, along with adding a beard brush. As a face wash/shampoo, it's fine -- it cleans well and the smell is light and neutral (pleasantly reminds me of the old-school barbershop that cut my hair when I was a kid). However, I was very disappointed by the conditioning (or lack thereof). Even after two weeks of use, my beard just wasn't as soft, and I had more fly-aways than before. I tried washing and rinsing, as well as leaving it in for a couple of minutes before rinsing, and found no difference. As a test, I used the other conditioner again after this, and softness returned, which suggests this product doesn't have sufficient quantities of the "conditioning" ingredients and is really more of a 2-in-1 face wash/shampoo.Ultimately I wanted to like this, but I found I get the same results with my normal (not-beard-oriented) moisturizing face wash + beard brush, as I do with this product + beard brush, at less than half the price. So, if you need beard conditioning, look elsewhere, or plan to add another product at additional cost (I now see this brand makes a separate beard moisturizer / leave-in conditioner product.)However, if you don't currently have any sort of face wash and suffer from "beardruff" or itching, this will probably help you, albeit at a premium price. Side note, the packaging is good and thoughtfully includes both a pump-type and a flip-up cap to accommodate your shower or travel preferences. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great cleanser for the real men among men *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2018* I am constantly looking for products for my beard that will strengthen and soften my beard as well as smell nice. This product fits the bill, it has a really clean scent that is subtle but really nice and not noticeable after your shower. The pump bottle is really nice and makes it easy to get the perfect amount. This lathers nicely in the beard and rinses easily leaving your beard feel clean without drying out your face. This product will prevent unsightly "bearddruff" and do a great job of preventing beard itch while you're still rocking the apprentice beard and works well even when an adequate beard has been grown. When you have enough beard this product seems to help prevent frizz and keeps your beard looking neat between trims.
