Trouble with 2 of the latches but easily fixed with slight twist of needle nose pliers.. Did notice slight copper discoloration on 1 of the latches but could be the one I added oil to the bead. Not sterling silver so that is to be expected I suppose. Only gave 4 stars for that reason. Mine, contrary to other reviews arrived with all closures in working order, w/a black lava stone inside each - packed inside a plastic bag & secured in a sturdy plastic container for storage. I actually used sized 12mm lava stones inside which work fine as well. The clasps do not open unless prompted. The cut out design allows for a good release of the scent of essential oil. (I completely allow stone to dry before inserting into cage to help prevent leaks.) A standard size ball chain (dog tag) in either black or silver, cut to length, works great. The only downside to these: They are not stainless steel.
