I use it to pull the air from Platnumsilicon mold material. Been using pump for roughly 8 months. **Q: Is the internal "oil filter" effective or does it still put out a mist? Would you use it indoors in a poorly ventilated space?** A: Not for indoor use unless you use and exhaust hose venting outdoors. smooth noise but annoying after time indoors. Mist comes off mostly when you restart vac after releasing pressure to open vac it for whatever reason.I set mine outside an run the vac lines into the house eliminating all exhaust and most noise.I can only get -24.5 pressure vacuum. **Q: How many inches vacuum will this pull?
