## Description

Includes a BONUS CD on the Law of Attraction! This Leading Edge work by Esther and Jerry Hicks, who present The Teachings of Abraham, will help you understand every relationship you are currently involved in as well as every relationship you have ever experienced. This book uncovers a myriad of false premises that are at the heart of every uncomfortable relationship issue, and guides you to a clear understanding of the powerful creative Vortex that has already assembled the relationships that you have desired. Abraham will show you how to enter that Vortex, where you will rendezvous with everything and everyone you have been looking for. Abraham says: "It is our desire to help you to solve the mystery of those seemingly impossible relationships; to sort out the details of joyously sharing your planet with billions of others; to rediscover the beauty of your differences; and, most of all, to reestablish the most important relationship of all: your relationship with the Eternal, Non-Physical Source that is really you. "It is our desire that you experience an enhanced appreciation of your planet; your body; your family; your friends; your enemies; your government; your systems; your food; your finances; your animals; your work and your play; your purpose; your Source; your Soul; your past, your future, and your present. . . ."

Review: The Law of Attraction - This 2009, 238-page book is more of the Teachings of Abraham and part of the Law of Attraction series by the authors. Although it is quite repetitive, it really does provide very good information. As one might suspect, it is about the Law of Attraction, which basically states that what you put out there is what you get back. The book explains that by providing many Q & As, in which Jerry asks questions of Abraham (a certain collective consciousness group of entities that he and Esther channel information from). Abraham channels the answers. This book is actually about relationships. Beyond the concepts of couples, the term relationships is directed toward any one you may have a relationship with, such as a spouse, significant other, friend, boss, relative, hairdresser, etc. The first section of the book delves into some flaws in beliefs that many people experience, such as "If I push hard enough against unwanted things, they will go away." The book then explains why this is faulted thinking and how to properly align your thinking to achieve the results you truly want. The book then attempts to answer the normal questions that most people would have where they experience discord with a relationship, or have not found an agreeable relationship, or are looking for something better. Some of the many questions addressed ask about attracting a mate, a soul-mate, why people may choose a mate that is not in alignment with them, relationships between parents and children, relationships between employees and the boss, etc. I think it is probably a no-brainer that you have to fix yourself first, before you can be happy with someone else, but there are people who find it hard to admit there may be something wrong with their attitude. One of the major concepts this book will try to explain to you is that you must be happy from the inside out and that you cannot be dependent on someone or something else to make you happy. That is short-lived (temporary) happiness and not lasting happiness. The Law of Attraction is used to explain the concept. In case anyone reading this review is unfamiliar with the Universal Law of Attraction, again, it is that you attract the vibrations you put out. Foe example, if you are insecure and believe you are unworthy of love, you will attract people to you who are the same as you. So, if you are looking for someone who can fill the void within you, it ain't gonna happen. If somehow it does, it ain't gonna last. That's the bottom line. If your glass has a hole in the bottom, it is gonna leak, no matter how much juice you put into it. Eventually, the glass will weaken from the stress and crack, and then shatter. It might even cut you pretty badly in the process. Honestly, I don't think there is anything in this book that I read that I didn't agree with. It's all true and we probably all need to be reminded periodically, so we don't slip backwards. It is so easy to lose our footing and forget who we really are amidst the anger and tension around us. It is so important to be secure within ourselves, to realize we are a piece of the Divine, when others try to force us into negativity, so that we may stand strong in our own convictions and stay in the Light. This is the way forward, out of the fog and into the Light. Although the book is repetitive, for some it must be so. The bottom line is that the information within it is invaluable. Namaste'
Review: Tuff Love - Abraham ends every workshop with the words "There is great love here for you" and yet at times the messages are delivered with a lack of "feeling". I equate this with the "tuff love" approach. Much of what he says is not easy to hear, yet we need to hear it. Many of his messages require us to re-think what we currently believe and adhere to...that is the point of Abraham...to enlighten us to do better, have better, and be better. And Abraham only responds to questions that we have asked...and so it is my belief that if you are hearing or reading the messages from Abraham, at some level you have asked and therefore are attracted to his answers. The message about parent/child relationships seems to receive the most negative responses. In my work to help parents become "awakened" to the wisdom of Abraham concerning parenting and the parent's role in their children's lives is often met with enormous resistance. Many times parents feel Abraham is telling them to "let go" and "let the child". This leaves them with a sense of dismissing their responsibility as a parent to take care of and watch over their children...in essence take their control over their children's lives away. It is here that I feel Abraham could be a bit more specific in the Vortex. I was fortunate to have been raised (many years ago) by forward thinking parents to live by the principles of the law of attraction long before the term was a household word. This, combined with years of purposefully studying, practicing, and teaching these principles I can attest to the fact that it is the absolute best way to raise your children to be and have and do all they want in life AND all parents want for them. The law of attraction (Abraham's message) clearly charges parents with the responsibility to raise their children...his message clarifys that a parents role is to empower their children with the positive mindset that will encourage the continued connection to Source (God, Divine, Universe or whichever word you choose) in order to create their desires. Unfortunately, parents interpret this to mean they are to allow their children to live in an "unparented" setting, when in fact what Abraham is saying is to protect your children from physical and emotional harm but at the same time allow your children to discover through his own experiences his preferences and beliefs. For example, rather than teaching your children that to eat meat is wrong because you think eating meat is wrong, encourage your child to investigate, gather information, research and then make his own choice as to what preference he feels aligned with...and then honor his preference without judgment or ridicule. In my work, I refer to this as "relate vs dictate". And all that means is, and what Abraham is saying is for parents to NOT instill their thoughts and beliefs into their children but to inspire them to find their own. I highly recommend this book, however I also encourage parents to look at other Abraham-Hicks messages concerning parenting before closing your mind to his teachings. And of course to listen with an open mind... The Law of Attraction: The Next Generation

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review by America's Spiritual Reviewer
*by B***T on December 18, 2009*

If you only have the energy and the interest to read one spiritual non-fiction book this year, make it The Vortex. It's simply not possible to overstate the importance of the work done by Esther and Jerry Hicks in bringing the teachings of Abraham to our awareness. Abraham is the name for the collection of benevolent, non-religious entities that channel through Esther. This is the third in a series of four Abraham-Hicks books that focus on different aspects of the experience of self as a powerful creator. Creation involves the presence of desire, asking, focused thought, allowing, and getting into "the vortex," a transcendent state of mind where everything you want is magnetized to you. The underlying premise of The Vortex is that you MUST be in alignment with Source to undo resistance and to access the power for manifesting that's available to all of us. Every so-called unwanted condition is the jumping off place for developing preferences and for birthing desires. The basic problem to be resolved is that most people do not focus on the the desire. Instead, they obsess and dwell on what is NOT desired. The Vortex really tured me on to my own potential. I love the idea that I'm a magnificent creator rather than a helpless victim. And I love the promise that I can influence my results by carefully choosing what I pay attention to and what I ignore. This book will be on my top ten list of spiritual books you must read in this lifetime because it gives the reader clear, relevant, practical information in a way that everyone can understand. The straightforward, uncomplicated presentation of material is rarer than you might think.
