The previous recipe produced a darker green, smoother textured, very richly flavored bar. This current formulation includes many whole sunflower seeds and other nut pieces and is less sweet, less luxurious tasting, and perhaps less satisfying. However, as a health food, it is WAY too sweet. Dates, the 2nd ingredient, are plenty sweet and adding agave nectar as the third ingredient is definitely overkill.If you think agave nectar is good for you, check out its fructose content and then think again. I'm also a little skeptical about the "raw" claim for agave nectar, but I have read there is a way to make it without heat using enzymes instead. Hopefully it at least has some good trace minerals. Certainly the other ingredients are good.I have to say that it's rich and filling enough to satisfy me, and it feels good in my stomach (but so does ice cream).
