Do not expect sturdy. It is the size described. If you have small breed chickens then six might live comfortably but I would only put four of my medium size hens. I got this to raise 16 chicks up enough to move them to the big pen. It's very cute in the yard! It is easily moved but you have to be careful as it's made of very light material. Also an issue when assembling as it's easy to over tighten screws and crack the dainty wood strips. I have not had a predator compromise the structure yet but it is not predator proof. It will keep hawks at bay however and that is what I wanted it for with the chicks. I have no complaints! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Adding a foundation helps *by 1***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2019* After an easy assembly, I found it needed a bit of reinforcement to withstand weekly moving around the yard. I added a 2x4 base as shown with a handle and wheels for easy relocation. In addition, I drilled full depth 1/8 diameter holes and put in 2 1/2" long SS deck screws on all joints. you must pre-drill or the softwood will split. I also drilled 3/16 holes around the base and part way into the 2x4's, also to keep from splitting the wood.
