Over a couple of years I'd gone through two Von Chefs - the first died and then I replaced the second with this one - we eat a lot of popcorn - and the Von Chef always overheated and spit out a lot of kernels. This one doesn't get nearly as hot, has an auto shutoff (which usually goes off somehow just after all the popcorn is done) and spits out fewer kernels. It looks a little weird and the packaging is confusing - it looks like it makes ice cream or candy too! - but no, just popcorn. Have had it for about 5 weeks now. We were staying somewhere for a while which is why I took a stab at this one - and we brought it home to replace the Von Chef. I hardly write reviews but I care a lot about popcorn! Review: Perfect Little Popcorn Maker - What a lucky find! It was one of the cheapest popcorn makers, but don't let that fool you... for one really huge serving, it fits the bill! Really compact, and does the job perfectly! There are some reviewers that claim that not all kernels pop... well that actually is not this machine, as I can personally attest to. The trick is in the popcorn brand. I'm an American expat, so I know what I'm talking about. It's a bit more expensive, but if you purchase Orville Redenbacher kernels and use ghee as the oil, you get popcorn perfection with this little workhorse! ## Features - Add the perfect pastel pop to your next movie night with this blue popcorn maker from the Giles & Posner Sorbet collection. - With 1200W power, add just 1 cup of kernels with the measuring cup to produce a bowl of popcorn in under three minutes. - Easy to use, this retro machine uses hot air to pop the kernels and requires no oil for a quick and tasty fat free snack. - Non-slip feet make for safe operation and popcorn can easily be released from the spout straight into a bowl underneath with no mess. - The instruction manual can be found by simply going to our Giles & Posner website. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09QQK613B | | Best Sellers Rank | 58,482 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 15 in Popcorn Poppers | | Brand | GILES & POSNER | | Brand Name | GILES & POSNER | | Capacity | 1 litres | | Colour | Blue | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 539 Reviews | | Included Components | 1 x Giles & Posner Popcorn Maker, 1 x Measuring Jug | | Is Electric | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 17L x 16W x 31H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Oil-Free Cooking, Measures 1 Cup Kernels, Pops In Under 3 Minutes, Non-Slip Feet, Easy-Release Spout, Measuring Cup Included | | Item Type Name | Giles & Posner EK0493GSBL Electric Popcorn Maker – Hot Air Circulation, Measuring Cup Included, Ready in 3 Mins, Oil-Free Healthy Snacks, Ideal for Movie Night, Parties and Home Cinema, 1200 W, Blue | | Item Weight | 1.06 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | Giles & Posner | | Material | Polypropylene (PP) | | Model Number | EK0493 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | EK0493GSBL | | Product dimensions | 17L x 16W x 31H centimetres | | Special Features | Anti-Slip, Detachable Plate, Dual Function Lid, Lightweight, Non-Stick, One-Touch Operation, Quick-Heat Technology, Quiet Operation | | Special feature | Anti-Slip, Detachable Plate, Dual Function Lid, Lightweight, Non-Stick, One-Touch Operation, Quick-Heat Technology, Quiet Operation Special feature Anti-Slip, Detachable Plate, Dual Function Lid, Lightweight, Non-Stick, One-Touch Operation, Quick-Heat Technology, Quiet Operation See more | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** GILES & POSNER - **Capacity:** 1 litres - **Colour:** Blue - **Material:** Polypropylene (PP) ## Images ![Giles & Posner Sorbet Popcorn Maker, 1200W Hot Air, Blue - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Z+qte65ML.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is the one to get (really). *by R***F on 11 August 2025* This is it. I hardly write reviews but I care a lot about popcorn! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Little Popcorn Maker *by A***C on 17 May 2025* What a lucky find! Children and teens love it for making a quick and healthy snack. If making lots (for a party) it can overheat so really does need to rest between (as advised). Makes a lot in one go though and no need for oil so doesn't need a lot of cleaning. ## Frequently Bought Together - Giles & Posner EK0493GSBL Electric Popcorn Maker – Hot Air Circulation, Measuring Cup Included, Ready in 3 Mins, Oil-Free Healthy Snacks, Ideal for Movie Night, Parties and Home Cinema, 1200 W, Blue - AKSOY Popping Corn Kernels - 1KG | Popcorn Seeds for Stovetop, Microwave & Air Popper | Freshly Harvested Corn for Delicious Homemade Popcorn Snacks...
