Every time I've scanned my children, or even my own, foreheads it reads 97.9. Not a big deal, until this past weekend. My son was running a fever. I knew he was, just wanted to get an accurate number. His cheeks were flushed, chills - all the classic flu symptoms. Checked his temp....97.9! I grabbed my older digital thermometer, and got 102.6.
