Review: Pups Approved - I recently switched my small breed dog to Canidae PURE Petite Limited Ingredient Premium Small Breed Adult Dry Dog Food, Lamb Recipe and have been extremely satisfied with the results. Both my dogs are prone to food allergies and sensitivities, so finding a high-quality, limited ingredient food was a priority. Canidae PURE fits the bill perfectly, with a short list of whole ingredients and no fillers or artificial additives. Since switching to this food, both my dogs' coat have become softer and shinier, and they have more energy and a healthier weight. They also seems to enjoy the taste, as they eagerly finish every meal. In addition to the great nutrition, I appreciate that Canidae is made with high-quality, ethically sourced ingredients and produced in the USA. My favorite part is the small kibble size is also perfect for my small breed dogs' smaller mouth and teeth. Overall, I am extremely happy with my decision to switch to Canidae and will continue to feed it to my dog in the future.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Salmon “Meal” is now an ingredient in this updated version of the kibble...why?**
A: Healthy

**Q: Does this product contain any chicken meal or chicken fat?**
A: Yes. The second ingredient is chicken meal and I believe chicken fat is on there as well. All of the ingredients are listed in the product description.

**Q: What can I do if my dog didn’t eat it at all? Can I return it?**
A: I did an Amazon return and got a full refund and didn't have to return the unused food

**Q: How many cups are in the 10lb bags of Lamb and Salmon?**
A: To the answer who said 20 cups based on 1 pound being 16 oz and 1 cup being 8 oz is WRONG. 1 ounce of weight is NOT the same as a fluid ounce. (Why the metric system makes more sense using milliliters and liters, grams and kilograms and why America is in trouble). There is 1587 calories per pound according to the bag, in a 10 pound bag is 15,870 calories ( 1587 x 10). Then there is 525 calories per cup according to the bag. 15,870 divided by 525 (15870/525) = 30.23. There are 30 cups in a 10 pound bag.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my dog gives it two thumbs up

seriously, my dog loves this. i was looking for a high quality food for my shih tzu as he seems to have a sensitivity to a lot of foods on the market. he loves this and seems to be doing great on it. so glad i found this.

### ⭐⭐⭐ Raw factor.
*by I***E on 9 June 2023*

I gave this to my dogs until recently one got kidney issues. Honestly I try to do best for my pets. With different dogs and over time I have found kibble at all is just not good enough for them. Health issues are expected. However, when one is able to reverse and even eliminate health issues with fresh and raw, it pays for itself. I think it’s a step up good or better product than most. Just not THE best.
