If you want Starlin’s Infinity Gauntlet prelude/setup, check out the two epics prior to this. They are superior. The Infinity Gauntlet tie-in issues found here are not really necessary. Also, lot of these stories show the Silver Surfer having battles within his mind, soul, dreams, etc. This is common in cosmic stories, but happens a lot in this volume. That reduces the stakes drastically, as we have a reset at the end of each story. In terms of author ranking thus far: Starlin>Englehart>Lee>Marz (sadly this volume). The issues that reference Englehart’s characters in the past were the best ones.

This is a good collection of stories related to the Infinity gauntlet. Even though a lot of stories are just about Silver surfer and not the gauntlet or Thanos it's still worth a read.

Great detail expansion on the, now legendary; Infinity Gauntlet story line. Also the continuation of a great 90’s era Marvel cosmic story arc.

The silver surfer in the times of Starlin and Lim. Nuff said!!!!
