I am wondering if it's too restrictive and may limit hip movement?** A: Well, I am not a doctor but my baby is able to move very easily in this. It's not restrictive or tight and doesn't bind the legs or hips. It simply muffles major movement. My little one is able to lift his arms and legs and wiggle around the crib. He sleeps well in it because I believe it makes him feel warm and snug. **Q: Can I nurse my daughter in this? Also, My daughter is 3 months. He's on his way out of a swaddle, will the largest suit (up to 21lbs) be too small?** A: I realize this is an older thread, but wanted to provide clarification for parents still reading these questions. I would say try it. Our LO is 27" long and 16 lbs. His arms and legs hang out of it a bit, BUT it still provides that feeling of a swaddle to his midsection and chest. I think have comfort in the midsection and chest is what's so comforting and effective about this suit. Our nephew was the same way. He was a very large baby and his arms/legs were never completely covered, but he slept so well when in this suit. As my sister says....the call it a magic suit for a reason. I finally caved after 2 weeks of broken sleep and the first night we used it, he only woke up once in the night rather than every hour. He’s 5 months now (have been using for a month) and I love it even more because he just started rolling! The sleep sack stops him from rolling at night and he just goes to sleep.
